About Save Today, Play Tomorrow

Save Today, Play Tomorrow ( “STPT” ) is an initiative operated by B2B Partnerships Ltd and its sister company, Climate Action for Associations.

​

Birmingham County Football Association (BCFA) founded the Save Today, Play Tomorrow initiative and retains certain rights in the Save Today, Play Tomorrow name, brand and logos, but does not manage or operate the programme on a day-to-day basis.

Our Commitment

At Save Today, Play Tomorrow, we are committed to environmental responsibility and sustainability. We recognise our responsibility to minimise our environmental impact and to promote sustainable practices across our operations and stakeholder network.

 

Context

This policy applies to all STPT business activities. Our team works primarily from home offices and uses third-party spaces (including the RSA) for occasional team gatherings. Our environmental impact therefore arises mainly from:

  • Energy use in home offices

  • Digital infrastructure

  • Travel and events

We work in partnership with Climate Action for Associations (CAFA) to develop, implement and continuously improve this policy and to strengthen our operational environmental practices.

Policy Commitments

1. Leadership and Communication

  • Foster environmental responsibility across all levels of the organisation

  • Communicate this policy clearly to employees, board members and service providers

2. Continuous Improvement

  • Assess environmental impacts annually

  • Set and review objectives and targets to improve environmental performance

  • Allocate appropriate resources to support these commitments

  • Monitor and measure supply chain and travel impacts

3. Compliance and Responsibility

  • Comply with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations

  • Clearly define and communicate environmental responsibilities

4. Capacity Building

  • Train staff to minimise direct environmental impact

  • Develop services and policies aligned with this environmental policy

5. Sustainable Procurement

  • Prioritise suppliers with strong environmental credentials

  • Support suppliers in measuring and reducing their emissions

6. Transparency and Reporting

  • Report environmental performance through an annual emissions report

7. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Encourage members, partners, supporters and stakeholders to adopt sustainable practices

8. Resource Efficiency

  • Reduce energy and water use and minimise waste through reduction, re-use and recycling

  • Prioritise cloud-based services and virtual meetings

  • Implement automatic PC shutdowns to conserve energy

9. Green Transportation

  • Minimise travel where possible

  • Promote environmentally responsible travel choices
